CHARACTER INFO

I am so excited about this character for a number of reasons. First, yes her entire race speaks in haiku. I probably won't be able to role-play this, but it's a fun idea. Second, I have been trying to create this costume for a long time. Well, not this costume specifically, but this effect. You see, one of the (few) comic books I liked a lot was Wild C.A.T.S and there was a character named Void. I don't particularly care for void any more or less than any of the other characters, but I always liked her costume. It's basically a full body-suit with only her face showing, and it looks like it's made of liquid silver. So I kept trying to recreate the full body-suit, most notably with Miss Prism and again with Elysian Absolute (though her costume moved away from that later). And while I love Miss Prism's costume, for some reason it wasn't scratching that itch. Finally one day I had a discussion with a few people about the body and face scales. I always tweak the body scales, almost always in a similar way, and I never touch the face sliders. So with Azereth I decided to tweak every single slider for both face and body in a totally new way. I absolutely love the result, I finally have the costume I've been looking for. I wanted an other-worldly look, and Azereth definitely captures that. You can see more angles and screenshots here, which may not mean much if you don't play the game and you're not used to what that face normally looks like, but I think adjusting the scales really brought the look home. I've also really wanted to use that crown for ages and ages and could never figure out a costume it went with, so I'm just really excited about her costume.

Finally, I am also very pleased with the background I've come up with for her race. On her planet, males don't actually eat anything; instead they feed off the psychic energy of females. Psychic energies come in different flavors, obviously, so different males have preferences for different personalities of females. And females, on the other hand, are the dominant gender on the planet, which happens to be very clan-based and there are a lot of wars to be fought, so females have to be warriors. And they pick males based on the male's ability to protect the female, or increase her prowress in battle. So Queen Azereth has chosen Duke Sevoch as her mate, as he is good at both protecting her and weakening her foes.

And in case it's not obvious, it's pronounced AZ (rhymes with spazz)- eh (as in ted) - reth (like meth). Her bio comes from the fact that her race don't consider themselves as having a "ruler" - she has come to our planet to learn to be a "leader". She feels that by working with such a diverse population she will be better prepared to deal with situations that arize when she actually ascends to the throne.
